face painting shenanigans!

so have just been uploading photos onto my computer and came across these hilarious snaps! On yet another creative venture kate and I found ourselves face painting at Staffordshire young farmers ‘Twilight ball’ at Keele Hall which was of course on Halloween. We started off doing pretty, very lady like flowers on the girls but as the night progressed it was very easy to convince the boys that a full face painting of a vampire (or in kates case; spiderman! My favourite!) was the way to go. It was a great deal of messy fun and, as always the creative duo (me and kate) are up for hire (for face painting that is..!)

English winter fair fun

Had an absolutely fantastic weekend at the English winter fair at Staffordshire county showground this weekend. I sold out of the ‘christmas cow’ collection of cards and the hand knitted scarves went down a treat!

It was lovely to know that all the hard work was worth it and to make it even more brilliant I got second place in he stand competition!

A big thank you to all my friends and family who helped out!

Christmas Cow Collection

i have added another range of cards called the 'christmas cow collection', for my stall at the English Winter Fair and for general sale. i thought i should stay true to my roots and do a range featuring some of the cattle on our farm.
so i wrapped up in my wellies and dads coat and ventured outside (for anyone who knows me knows that this is a once in a blue moon moment!)
they are so nosy and soft that photographing them was no problem at all.

So new mission…

To paint a mural on an 8 year olds bedroom wall, I have started the task with my good friend Kate, our biggest challenge yet!

He wanted a pond scene and has a particular interest in reptiles and creepy crawlies but we wanted to ensure the painting could grow up with him.

Wish us luck!!

as the house is quite old and the walls are all lovely and wonky we started by priming the wall with white emulsion using inspiration from Zack's nature books and illustrated story books, especially 'Alice in Wonderland'. from which kate did the most amazing spotted mushrooms.
